Hi all, now that the equinox has passed and the clocks have changed, Saturday Club springs into its Summer programme. This means that in addition to meeting up, seeing who wants to sail what with whom and making sure that everyone gets on the water, there will usually be some diverting activity to take part in. This Saturday there is also Group Coaching running at Queen Mary so if you are a select member planning to use a Club boat, book it now.
Running the session this weekend it is John and Alan and they have asked me to say:
We will meet as usual from 9.45am for a briefing at 10:00. The weather prediction is that it will be quite boisterous and so we will set a course that will take this into account. Looking forward to a good turnout.
Just one thing to remember, It is ALL FOOLS DAY
John Hobbs-Mallyon and Alan Livermore
Next Saturday Club after this weekend will be the 22nd April (Saturday 8th April is the Battle of the Fleets in J80 keelboats when Saturday Club will have representation on two of the boats, then 15th April is Easter Saturday).
Then we will run from 6th May every fortnight till 9th September, then 16th Sept every fortnight to 14th October, then 21st October every fortnight to 2nd December. The schedule is on the calendar on the club website if ever you are in doubt.
Other dates for your calendar are the Club members trip to Sardinia from 13-20th May at a Neilson Beach Club, we have 20 people signed up so far but there are still rooms free, again see website for details, and a return weekend trip to the Andrew Simpson Sailing Centre in Weymouth on 15th/16th July. More details on this shortly.
Hope to see you Saturday and looking forward to great winds and good sailing!
