A very exciting opportunity to manage and lead the RYA Training Centre and all on the water activity at Queen Mary Sailing Club to include safety of Club Racing and Open Meetings, Teaching, General Sailing, Windsurfing, Select Membership, Youth Sailing, Onboard, Sailability, Powerboating and Kayaking, Schools, Corporates and the Club’s annual Bloody Mary sailing event.
We are looking for a leader, the candidate must have strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to inspire and persuade people.
They will also join the office team dealing with membership, bookings, website, training and club business development. Strong administration, IT skills and a care for detail are essential skills.
The role requires some level of dinghy racing experience and experience of safety cover for dinghy races. This is not a Monday to Friday 9-5 role working hours cover weekends, BHs, evenings and offset days. This would not suit someone who wants to work Mon-Fri as a standard.
The role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the delivery of Sailing and Watersports activities with at least three years’ experience as Principal/Chief Instructor, the ideal candidate will have been a Principal/Chief Instructor at a medium sized centre and looking to move on to greater responsibilities and challenges.
Reporting directly to the Club Secretary and to the Club Council this is a great opportunity at one of the leading Sailing Clubs in the UK.
Salary: £27,000 to £30,000

RYA Coach Assessor
BCU Kayak Coach L2 or higher
Current, transferable DBS check.
Stand-up Paddleboard Instructor.
